In my dog’s eyes, I see a primal connection between wolves and humans. There is something so eerily reassuring and grounding about them. Reminding me that she is at her core, a beautifully wild creature. And yet with so much love to give.
I recently had a very painful health issue and could barely move. I laid in bed for two days. That dog stayed with me, on my bed, or on my bedroom floor, the entire time. My husband had to pull her off to make her eat and go outside. When she came in she was right back on my bed again. When I could finally walk around, she woke up and came looking for me. She found me helping my daughter in her room. She leapt, circled and jumped on me, wanting my “hugs.” It was as if I had been on vacation for a month and was finally home. She was so joyful that I was up and about, back to “Mommy mode.” I will never forget that moment for as long as I live.
Eyes are indeed a window to the soul. Her soul is the true epitome of love and life. My faithful guardian angel~
