A recent transplant from Chicago to Atlanta, I am documenting my experiences in the American South, as well as whatever comes to mind. Hence my blog name “The Accidental Peach.” I am passionate about discovering the beauty in life. For me this involves photography, writing, design and cooking to my heart’s content. In addition to my family of course! Thank you for reading!

  1. I am a southern “implant” like you! My husband and I are from Maryland, but we’ve been living in Atlanta for 16 years. Wow, I didn’t realize it was that long until I just wrote it! You have a beautiful blog!

    • Thank you, so do you! I have met so many people that moved here from another state or country. It helps not to feel like a fish out of water so much. It definitely feels like home now. Thanks for liking my blog! 🙂

so happy for you starting your blog! its been so long since we last chatted back in Chicago! I still read corey’s blog that you told me about and love it for inspiration — all the Provincial etc. and the travelling she does.

  3. what a great idea! I have southern blood but was born and raised in Chicago. I love the south in spite of the crackers. Great blog!

    • Thank you! There are many great things about living down here, and others I am still getting used to. I miss Chicago so much. Thanks for checking out my blog! 🙂

      • you’re welcome! have you been to savannah yet? Love it there.

      • Only passed through a couple of times, but I hope to spend a long weekend within the next year! We visited Charleston SC a year ago and my husband has family there. I wrote a post about it if you want to check it out. That’s one nice thing about living in Atlanta, you can take short road trips to all kinds of great towns and the Gulf or Atlantic coast too.

  4. I saw your post about the traditional ornaments, and realized that one of the ornaments you have (the pink and red boot) was the same as an ornament passed down through my family, which we unfortunately lost in a move. Do you have any information as to who makes it? We can’t find it anywhere!

  5. Beautiful blog! I particularly enjoy the images of Sanibel, Florida (I live close by in Cape Coral). What a glorious tribute! https://www.facebook.com/ZinaVillanoColdwellBanker
